Quicker Way to Locate Missing Children
The National Fraternal Order of Police announced that they have released a photographic system, PhotoAlert, that is intended to speed up the process of recovery missing children. "By using proprietary GPS technology, National PhotoAlert meets that demand in missing children cases by issuing geographic-specific alerts to thousands of recipients each minute including law enforcement and government agencies. Recipients receive both a photograph and text information of a missing person."
This new technology system in another quick and easy tool that can be very beneficial. This new technology allows government and law enforces to receive information within minutes to help recover missing people before they get too far from home. The use of RSS and social bookmarking are similar to this new technology. Companies and users are able to upload information and create news sites that will instantly be sent out to different users through tags and subscriptions. The amount of time it takes for people to receive information is astounding. Hopefully we will be able to find missing people as fast as we can Google the latest scandals.

This is an interesting way to apply current technology to a need that is necessary. Hopefully, this technology is able to do a lot of good. Also, it will be interesting to see if there is a way to involve more forms of social media into helping out people in need.
